Travel has always been a passion of mine. After achieving my degree I embarked upon a round the world trip which fuelled my enthusiasm for travel. I travelled thoroughly throughout Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, India and Singapore. I was extremely privileged to have been able to travel like this and had an incredible time on this trip which has led to me flourishing when sharing my passion for travel. My Favourite thing about Asia is Laos. Laos is a sanctuary of calm and spiritual people which takes you away of the stress of the West . The country is beautiful and full of activities for the adrenalin junkie, there is so much to discover here!
I still remember the first time I touched down in South east Asia it felt like I have arrive in a whole new world, it was almost like I was living in Black and white. The sights, sounds, smells and people where what started a 15 year pursuit of travelling the area and finding the more remote areas and of the beaten track destinations.
I never tire of trying to find new unseen areas of Thailand and will often be trawling the streets of Thailand looking for the best street food and looking for unseen tourist attractions.
My travelling highlights so far have been the Ancient city in near Bangkok , and seeing the amazing Mount Pinatubu and the beautiful tarsiers in the Philippines.
Having been at Wendy Wu Tours for almost 10 years now I hope to be able to offer my knowledge in helping you find the perfect holiday.

I started out working for my local travel agent doing a modern apprentice NVQ and worked my way up through the years and to different branches and ended up as a store manager. In my 18 years in travel I have been lucky enough to visit many countries Florida, Las Vegas, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, Spain, Italy are some of the few .
After joining the team here at Wendy Wu Tours nearly 2 years ago my passion firmly lies in Asia and I have been lucky enough to travel to China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Two of the highlights from my travels would have to be the cruise along the Li River in China and exploring Hoi An in Vietnam, but the list is much longer.

I have worked in travel, for 12 years, having started in my local travel agents at the age of 18. It’s here that I developed my passion for long haul destinations and tailor-made itineraries, I was then lucky enough to work for a long haul tailormade operator that really give me the taste for it. I then took a 1 year and a half out and travelled to Australia and New Zealand. On my return, Asia was next where I set my sights, going back to work for a tailormade travel company specialising in Asia was the prefect opportunity, this where I was lucky enough to travel to China for the first time, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Pacific (French Polynesia, Fiji and Cook Islands), Maldives, Caribbean (St Barts, Tobago, St Kitts & Nevis, Antigua, Barbados, and Anguilla) and Thailand. Since arriving at ASIA Inspirations at Wendy Wu Tours, I have been lucky enough to visit China again and most recently Vietnam and Cambodia. The thing I love about Asia is the diverse nature of the continent, whether it’s the scenery of Tiger Leaping gorge in Lijiang in China or whether its beach in Vietnam, it has something to suit everyone.

Having spent the first 19 years of my life on the small mediterranean island of Malta, I was itching to explore some of the exotic countries around the world. Where better to start then a 3 month life changing trip to Japan following the ‘Tokai trail’ passing through temples on mountain summits, historical castles (including the 16th century Hachioji Castle) and finally culminating in the climb of Mt.Fuji, climbing 3776m and arriving at the summit at 5am in time to see an unforgettable sunrise. Little did I know when I set off that I would end up meeting my future wife half way up the sacred mountain. Since then I have spent 12 months in Australia and New Zealand, Hawaii, Fiji, 3 months in India, travelled extensively around Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong. Last year I returned to China and the memories of cruising down the narrow gorges on the Yangtze and looking up to see the 2000 year hanging coffins on the cliffs in the Three Gorges will remain with me forever. In mid 2015 I visited both Cambodia and Vietnam and saw a wonderful sunrise over Angkor Wat in Cambodia and an even more impressive sunset from Angkor Thom in Siem Riep. I loved Hoi An in Vietnam and cruising around Halong bay. The people are lovely and the food freshly prepared and such good value!!

After my degree in Geography I took it upon myself to see some of the world which I had been so fastidiously learning about. I embarked on an anticipated round the world trip for one year, but like all good plans I ignored all initial concepts and continued for two and half years. I began my travels in South East Asia after experiencing the warmth and profound beauty of the people and landscape my obsession of travel began in earnest. In Asia I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.
After my wanderings of the world I took it upon myself to share some of this experience with others and have worked in the travel industry for over 5 years. I thoroughly enjoy discussing travel plans and sharing my knowledge and love for Asia to tailor make your perfect trip. When it comes to favourites I have been very fortunate and too spoilt so I couldn’t possibly pick one, I have therefore categorised into the following. Favourite City; Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with its beautiful French architecture, amazing history, profound museums and pure chaotic traffic, it never fails to bring a smile. Favourite beach: Palau Perenthian, Malaysia unbelievable people, food, pristine diving and no roads; it’s pure island paradise. Favourite Country: Cambodia is inspiring; the people have such warmth and hope that emancipates from a country that needs tangible change. Favourite Sight(s): Great Wall Beijing, Angkor Wat Siem Reap and Ha Long Bay Vietnam, for this you will have to book a trip with us to see for yourself.

I have been lucky enough to work in travel for 28 years and I love my job and being able to travel to fascinating parts of the world to truly discover a destination. I enjoy spending time with my family on holiday; we have visited various European destinations, America, Caribbean, South Africa, and Mauritius. We love going skiing in Europe as well.
I have also been lucky enough to travel to Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Working in the Tailor Made Department allows me to be able to design the perfect holiday for you with my knowledge and expertise. One my favourite places to visit is Halong Bay in Vietnam, spending a relaxing couple of days on a Junk cruise on the tranquil waters, enjoying the delicious sea food and watching the amazing sunsets.
I have been very fortunate in life as my job is also my hobby , I love travelling & helping to organize and plan trips is what motivates me every day.
I've been lucky enough to explore many destinations throughout my long career, but traveling to Asia has opened up a new world unlike anything I've ever experienced, the diverse cultures of China and Asia as a whole are fascinating. To experience the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors Museum are truly unforgettable moments in life!

I have two favourite places in China. The first being the fascinating city of Xian, from visiting the iconic terracotta warriors for the wow factor to spending an afternoon at leisure cycling the beautiful city wall – my stay here was very diverse! The other place I fell in love with was the beautiful town of Yangshuo, situated at the end of the Li River. A very typical Chinese town with an international feel and the most breath taking scenery.
